What will the portal link be in Uplisting?
Each portal link is unique per reservation by using the reservation ID. Typically to send the portal links we can use a reservation ID variable in the automated messages of your property management system. However, this is not an option for Uplisting. Instead we can send the full portal link to a variable that you can insert into your messages directly!
Uplisting only allows us to send those full portal links to the variable lock_code in Uplisting. If you currently use this variable to send lock codes out to guests reach out to our team and we can talk through the best way to time the switch over.
Populating the portal links
If the portal links are not populating in Uplisting, you may need to enable them in SuiteOp.
Before you'll start to see the portal links being populated in lock_code for each reservation you'll need to activate this in SuiteOp. This can be done in Integrations > Uplisting > Click your account's gear icon. In the settings that pop up, ensure that "Push portal link to lock code variable in Uplisting" is enabled, then click "Push portal links."

Create messages in Uplisting
Once you have the lock_code populated in Uplisting you'll set up automated messages to send to each guest for their reservation. There are a few things to note about Uplisting's messages with SuiteOp:
It will take SuiteOp about 20 minutes to get the reservation data and send the portal link to the lock_code variable, so any messages should have a buffer of 20 minutes after booking before being sent to a guest. If your links are sending as blank, make sure the buffer is there. You may need additional messages for last minute stays to make this work.
Uplisting only provides us with the reservations in the next 6 months. Because of this the portal links will not be populated for reservations farther out than 6 months. You can create a separate confirmation message for these reservations with a 6 month lead time. Then create a message at the 6 month mark to send their portal link.
