Hostify: Best Practices for Messaging Flow

In Hostify we recommend setting up certain messages to encourage your guests to access their guest portal, complete their pre-check-in steps, and view all of the information available to them. To share the unique guest portal links automatically we populate a variable in Hostify with the link for each reservation, the SuiteOp Custom Field. You can insert this link into your message templates.


Find the Portal Link Variable in Hostify

The custom variable to insert into messages will be different for every Hostify account. To find your SuiteOp Custom Field, go to More > Settings > Custom Field, locate the SuiteOp portal link, and copy the custom field code.


Example Message Templates

In your Hostify account, go to Automations > Automated Messages, then click Add New in the upper right corner. The following are the messages we recommend creating.

Schedule 5 minutes after confirmation to allow the variable to populate.

Note: Airbnb guests cannot receive emails, so their confirmation will be sent via Channel message. All other guests can receive an email confirmation using a branded HTML template. Reach out to our team if you want us to make you a fully custom email template for Hostify!
