Additional Questions

Updated over a month ago

This feature enables you to gather extra information from guests, dynamically showcase upsells based on guest responses, flag reservations according to guest answers, and notify your team on Slack based on specific responses.

Why use Additional Questions?

Custom questions can help you enhance the guest experience with details and offerings for special occasions. Can alert you to fees that need to be added. Or can be a source of future marketing targets based on what brings them to town!

Step 1 - Create a new verification rule

  1. Navigate to the SuiteOp portal configuration page and select the "Verify" tab.

Click "New" and choose "Additional Questions" from the dropdown options.

  2. "Additional Questions" will be added to your Verification Rule List.

Select 'Verify' tab

Step 2 - Configure the rule details

  1. Provide a nickname for this rule. This nickname will only be visible to your team in SuiteOp and will help you manage different verification rules efficiently if you create multiple rules in the future.

Activate Rule and enter a nickname
  2. Choose the booking sources to include or exclude for this verification rule. This allows you to create distinct questions for different sources. For example, you can set up separate questions for direct bookers compared to specific OTA bookers.

Step 3 - Configure each question

  1. You can create your questions to be displayed in the guest portal.

  2. You can access additional settings for each question by clicking on the "Show more" dropdown menu. Here you'll be able to turn on 'Flag for review', 'Send notification', or 'Feature upsells' based on guest responses.
