How to Integrate Slack to SuiteOp

Learn how to integrate Slack with SuiteOp to receive important operations notifications and alerts. With this integration, you can stay updated on various events and choose the channels where you want to receive default notifications.


How to connect your Slack account to SuiteOp

  1. Choose Slack from the list of Integrations

  2. Click Connect Slack Account

  3. You'll be asked to log-in to your Slack account and authorize SuiteOp.

  4. We recommend setting up your default notification channels in the Settings button

You can select the same or different slack channels for various notifications types.


How to add more than one Slack account

To add additional Slack accounts follow the same steps as your first account, head to the Slack integration page and click Connect Slack Account to authorize.

Note: only the Default Slack account will have default notifications, other accounts will need to be set using Workflows


How to set default notifications

Default notifications can be set for your Default Slack account.

  1. Go to the Slack integration page

  2. Click the Settings button next to the default account

  3. Choose channels for each notification type

If you don't see your Slack channel, try clicking Refresh channels. Currently, we don't support Private channels, but we're working on it!


Understand the default Slack notification types

  • Noise notifications
    These are noise alerts, in the event that you have a noise sensor setup for you properties.

  • Device notifications
    You will be notified when devices go offline, are on low-battery, or when other issues occur (i.e. if a code was unsuccessfully pushed to a smartlock).

  • Check-in notifications
    Notifications when a guest checks-in, either by typing in their smartlock code, marking themselves are checked-in in the guest portal, or if you manually check them in in the reservation panel.

  • Check-out notifications
    Notifications when a guest checks-out, either by marking themselves are checked-out in the guest portal, or if you manually check them out the reservation panel.

  • Upsell notifications
    Receive a notification every time an upsell is purchased or requested. You will not be notified for clickthrough for advertisement-types and postcard upsells.

  • Guest Portal notifications
    Receive a notification if a guest opens an issue in their portal.

  • Reviews > 4
    Receive a notification and AI-summary of every negative review (4-stars or below) received through the check-out survey or through OTA reviews (if the data is available to SuiteOp through your PMS connection).

  • Last-minute reservations
    Receive a notification for last-minute reservations. You can setup the number of hours before check-in during which you'd like to be notified
