Why Google Reviews matter
A strong Google review score builds trust with potential guests and directly impacts your bookings. SuiteOp helps you collect more positive reviews by making it easy for happy guests to post to Google at checkout.
To make this work, you'll need to add a special Google Review link to your properties in SuiteOp. This isn't your standard Google Business Profile URL — it's a direct link that opens a new review window immediately when clicked.
How it works in SuiteOp
Here's the flow from the guest's perspective:
A guest completes their stay and goes through checkout.
SuiteOp asks them to rate their experience with a quick star rating and write a review.
If the guest leaves a 5-star rating, SuiteOp automatically directs them to your Google Review link. The guest can easily copy what they already wrote and paste it into Google.
The review form opens right away — the guest just pastes their review and submits.
This means you're only directing your happiest guests to Google, and making it as easy as possible for them to follow through. The result is more 5-star public reviews and a stronger Google review score for your property.
Step 1: Find your Google Review link
You'll need to get the "ask for reviews" link from your Google Business Profile. This is a special short link that takes guests directly to the review form — not just your business listing.
How to get your Google Review link
Log into your Google Business Profile.
Select the property you want to get the link for.
Click "Get more reviews".
Click "Share form" to copy the review URL to your clipboard.
💡 Tip: This is a special link that takes guests directly to the review form — not just your business listing. It's different from your regular Google Maps or Business Profile URL. When a guest clicks it, the review box opens immediately so they can start writing right away. Repeat this for each property that has its own Google Business Profile.
Step 2: Add the link to your properties in SuiteOp
Once you have your Google Review link, you'll add it to your properties using the Bulk Editing feature. This lets you update multiple properties at once.
How to add your Google Review link in SuiteOp
Navigate to Properties in the left sidebar.
Open the dropdown on the Properties page.
Select Bulk Editing.
Locate the property (or properties) you want to update.
Find the Google Review Link field.
Paste the review link you copied from your Google Business Profile.
Save your changes.
💡 Tip: If you manage multiple properties, you can update all of your Google Review links in one session using Bulk Editing — just make sure each property gets its own unique link from its own Google Business Profile.
FAQs
What's the difference between a regular Google link and the review link?
A regular Google Business Profile link takes the guest to your listing, where they'd have to find and click the "Write a review" button themselves. The special review link (ending in /review) skips that step entirely and opens the review form right away. Less friction means more reviews.
When does SuiteOp send the review request?
SuiteOp sends the review request during the checkout process. The guest rates their stay and writes a review in SuiteOp. If the rating is 5 stars, they're directed to your Google Review link where the review form opens right away. The guest can copy what they already wrote in SuiteOp and paste it into Google — no need to start from scratch.
What happens if a guest leaves fewer than 5 stars?
Guests who rate below 5 stars are not sent to Google. This helps protect your public review score while still giving you valuable internal feedback about what could be improved.
Do I need a separate Google Business Profile for each property?
Yes. Each property should have its own Google Business Profile with its own unique review link. This ensures reviews are tied to the correct listing.
Can I change the review link later?
Absolutely. Just go back to Properties > Bulk Editing and update the link for any property at any time.
