Updated over a month ago

Yhangry offers your guests the ability to upgrade their stay with private chefs from your guest portal. In just a few clicks, your guests can match with world-class private chefs, receive prices and menus and chat with the chef to make any changes.

Steps to Add Yhangry Upsell

No account required! Simply set up a new upsell using the pre-made template (US or UK). Currently there is no commission associated with guests who book through your guest portal.

  1. Go to Portals > Settings > Upsells

  2. Click Add new on the right

  3. Select the Yhangry (US) Upsell Template

  4. Add your upsell to a Category, splitting upsells into categories makes it easier for guests to navigate

  5. Assign to Guides or Properties

  6. At the top, set the upsell as Active by checking the first box. If this is an upsell you'd like to show on the home page of the Portal mark as a Featured upsell

How does Yhangry work?

  1. Guests are directed to Yhangry and prompted to complete a questionnaire - this includes details about your event (date, location, number of guests etc).

  2. Your guest's request will be sent to all chefs who match your criteria. If they are looking for a particular chef, you can browse chefs in your area and message them directly. This is preferred by those who are looking to re-book the same chef.

  3. Interested chefs will respond to them with a quote, which entails a suggested menu and a price.

  4. Your guest will compare different quotes and chat with the chefs. All chefs are happy to accommodate changes to the menu to make it perfect for the guest so they don’t need to worry about asking for changes. They can call chefs via the platform to discuss finer details over the phone.

  5. To secure the chef we recommend that the guest make payment whilst finalizing the menu. Once they have paid, their chef's calendar will be blocked so no other client can book the chef.

  6. The chef will arrive at the event location around 2 hours before the start time. However this is usually agreed and well communicated between chef and client.

  7. The chef will bring the groceries, cook, serve and clean up.
