Using Viator Upsells in SuiteOp

Updated over 3 months ago

There are great local upsells you can offer to your guests through our integration with Viator! Our partnership allows you to easily import Viator's experiences to show in your guest portal and even earn 8% commission when your guests book. Below are the steps to get started with Viator.

Create & Connect a Viator Partner Account

  1. Account Creation (If you already have an existing partner account, please proceed to Step 2)

    1. Create a partner account at https://partners.viator.com/.

    2. Verify your account.

    3. Note your Partner ID, located in the upper right corner.

  2. Connect Viator Account to SuiteOp

    1. In SuiteOp, navigate to the Integrations section.

    2. Locate Viator and select Connect.

    3. Click Connect Viator Account.

    4. Enter your Viator Partner ID.

Find & import upsells in SuiteOp

Once your Viator account is connected, any Viator upsells will automatically use your affiliate link!

  1. Navigate to the Portal, then go to the Upsells tab.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Select Import from Partner > Viator.

  4. Search for the city associated with the listing where you want to advertise the upsell.

  5. Filter by Excellent Quality to display highly-rated services.

  6. Choose the event by clicking the plus sign.

  7. Return to the Upsells tab and locate the event you just added.

  8. Activate the upsell, with the option to mark it as a Featured Upsell.

Optionally, assign a Category to determine how it will appear in the portal.

9. Assign the upsell to a Portal. You also have the option to assign these at the property level for more specific targeting, but the Portal level is recommended.

How Viator upsells work

When a guest clicks on a Viator upsell from their portal they will be taken to Viator to book. In SuiteOp this will track as a "Click", but we cannot track whether or not this was booked. You'll be able to track this in your Viator partner account.
