1. Add your device account to SuiteOp
The first step of lock set up is importing your locks into SuiteOp. To do this follow the steps below.
Head to the Integrations page and find your lock provider under Home Automation.
Click Add account or Connect account
Follow the steps to connect (usually logging into your provider)
You will be redirected back to SuiteOp and will see your devices pull into the list
2. Associate your devices to properties
You can either assign devices from the device settings or from the property
ππππ‘
You can connect multiple devices to a single property, allowing guests to access various locks, such as a gate door, front door, or building and apartment doors. This enables guest access to multiple entry points within your property.

Conversely, a single device can be assigned to multiple properties, typically used for common area doors that need to be accessed by guests from different properties.
From the property
Navigate to the Properties page
Select the property to assign a device to
Scroll down to the Devices section
Click + Add device
Search for the device
Select any devices to assign using the check boxes
Click Assign
From Device settings
Navigate to the Devices page
On the left-side menu under the Properties section, click on Devices. This will take you to the device management page.
View and Filter Devices
Your devices will be displayed here. Use the filter options to show only specific types of devices as needed.
Tip: use the "No property assigned" filter in +More to easily see what still needs a property
Select a device to assign
Navigate to the Settings tab at the bottom
Scroll down the settings to the Assigned properties section
Type your property name and select to assign
3. Adjust Device Settings
Click on the device you wish to configure, then click on the Settings tab to open the device's configuration options.
Set a Guest-Facing Name:
In the top text field, give your device a name that will be visible to guests. Donβt worry, your internal name will remain visible and searchable throughout SuiteOp for management purposes.
Public vs. Private: Choose to make devices public so guests can control them via their guest portal during their stay. Set devices to private if guest visibility is not desired.
Mute Notifications: Opt to mute a device to stop receiving alerts when it goes offline or if code pushes fail, useful for devices with unreliable connections.
Allow Remote Control: Let staff, and guests if public, lock and unlock this device from SuiteOp.
4. Enable access code creation for reservations
Before you setup your locks, we recommend to set up you check-in instructions for your properties. You can do so by heading to each property -> instructions, to create both check-in step and a one-liner check-in summary.
1. Turn on Dynamic Access for each property
For every property that has a smartlock associated, you'll need to set the property code type to Dynamic. This will begin generating codes for new guests and pushing these to the lock.
2. Provision each lock
Click on a lock to navigate back to the device settings
This is accessible from each property page since locks are linked to properties, or can be opened from the Devices page.
Go to the Settings tab of the device
Click the 'Provision' button to clean the lock by removing all existing codes, except master codes, and create three backup codes.
You'll need to do this for each lock individually
Provision locks only when youβre ready to activate SuiteOp for your customer and share access codes with your guests, whether through the Guest Portal or through a PMS variable (if available in your PMS).
β To keep existing reservation codes the same for upcoming guests, enable the 'Copy Keycode' feature to allow SuiteOp to automatically retrieve reservation entry codes stored in your Property Management System and push these directly to locks during the provisioning. This eliminates the need to communicate to existing guests a new code and helps with a smooth transition.
5. Add Tap to unlock to check-in steps
If your device is public to guests with remote control enabled it's a good idea to let guests Tap to unlock right from their check-in instructions. This simplifies entry and improves the guest experience. Guests will only be able to tap to unlock during the hours of their stay.
This can be done in each property in the Settings tab > Instructions tab. Scroll to the Property check-in instructions section, edit a check-in step, and under Enable tap to unlock select the lock to add to that step.
