Workflow Triggers: Reservation

Workflow triggers for reservations are essential for automating tasks and streamlining the reservation process. They ensure timely responses, minimize manual efforts, and reduce errors, enhancing overall efficiency and reliability in reservation management.

  1. Go to Workflow.

  2. Click on + Add New.

  3. Select Start from Scratch.

  4. Choose Reservation.

Here are some of the triggers that can be created under Reservation

Receive notifications whenever a new reservation is confirmed.

  1. Workflow > Add New > From Scratch > Reservation

  2. Enter the workflow name (e.g., New Booking)

  3. At Confirmation time > Send Slack Message OR Send email

Control Smart devices

  1. Workflow > Add New > From Scratch > Reservation

  2. Enter the workflow name (e.g., Thermostat ON / OFF)

  3. To turn ON: At Check-in time > Turn on device
    To turn OFF: At Check-out time > Turn off device

Setting the Thermostat to Cool Mode During Summer (Applicable for properties with a smart thermostat)

  1. Workflow > Add New > From Scratch > Reservation

  2. Enter the workflow name (e.g., Thermostat Setting - Summer)

  3. Schedule: Set to trigger at Check-in time
    Action: Set thermostat & temperature
    Add conditions: You may add a condition based on the summer months for your rental location, or you can choose to activate this workflow manually without conditions.

Create a Task

You can schedule a task at check-in time, set between 1 and 0 days prior, to arrange an inspection before a guest arrives.

Additionally, you can set up a task for cleaners at the check-out time.

Assignment:

  • You can assign by group, tag, and specific properties where you want the workflow to apply.
